Trois axes principaux ont été identifiés pour lesquels il est urgent de mener des recherches sur la contamination urbaine et pour lesquels la formation est pertinente pour les opportunités d'emploi prioritaires: (i) les effluents d'eaux usées; (ii) l'air et (iii) les produits de consommation. Ces secteurs, au sein desquels se concentrent l'essentiel de nos recherches, seront complétés par un axe technologique transversal qui offrira un certain nombre d'opportunités de formation spécialisée dans les domaines suivants: (a) l'analyse des contaminants; (b) la détermination des effets liés à l'exposition aux contaminants et (c) la mise en œuvre de technologies de remédiation.
Three major axes have been identified where research on urban contamination is urgently required and where training is relevant to priority employment opportunities: (i) wastewater effluents; (ii) air and (iii) consumer products. These sectors, within which most of our research is be concentrated, will be complemented by a transversal technological axis that will provide a number of specialized training opportunities related to: (a) the analysis of contaminants; (b) the determination of contaminant exposure-related effects and (c) the implementation of remediation technologies.
